The Miriam Hospital is pleased to offer two positions for our PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program accredited by the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP).
The PGY1 residency program builds upon Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and outcomes to develop pharmacist practitioners with knowledge, skills, and abilities as defined in the educational competency areas, goals, and objectives. Residents who successfully complete the PGY1 residency program will be skilled in diverse patient care, practice management, leadership, and education, and be prepared to provide patient care, seek board certification in pharmacotherapy (i.e., BCPS), and pursue advanced education and training opportunities including postgraduate year two (PGY2) residencies. This PGY1 pharmacy residency provides a variety of comprehensive experiences including internal medicine, critical care, emergency medicine, cardiology, ambulatory adult infectious diseases, and a variety of elective rotations. Teaching opportunities will be available at local colleges/university.

Qualifications & Application Requirements:
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited school/college of pharmacy
- Eligibility for Rhode Island licensure
- Application must be submitted through Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application (PhORCAS) by January 3, 2025. Program Code: 291913
