Slim Hiller is the main protagonist of the 2002 film, Enough.
She was portrayed by Jennifer Lopez.
Biography[]
Slim was a waitress with her best friend, Ginny and her adoptive father, Phil until she was "rescued" by a man named Mitch and she fell in love with him and married him in 1995 and had their only daughter, Gracie in 1996. 5 years after Gracie was born, Slim finds out that Mitch has been having a affair the whole time as she notices that Mitch was still cheating on her with a French woman named Darcelle (Darcy), as she angrily confronted him about it until he furiously slapped her and then punched her leaving a scar on her face. Slim then goes to Madame Hiller's house, the next day and she asks Slim what she did to make him angry. Slim then starts thinking about leaving with Gracie, but then gets attacked by Mitch and then starts kicking her in the chest, leaving a bruise on her stomach. Slim then keeps locating her and Gracie to hotels, and small apartments until Slim's biological father gives Slim money as Slim buys a house for her and Gracie, she then changes her name to "Erin Schleeter". Slim is then attacked by Mitch until she seduces him with pepper spray and gets in a car chase with one of Mitch's friends, Robbie. Slim then starts to notice that she can't hide forever and that she needs to protect Gracie as she has Gracie go to Hawaii with Ginny. Slim then learns Krav Maga from a defense trainer and she learns that self-defense is not murder. Slim breaks into Mitch's new home as she hides his guns and blocks phone connections, so he can't call the police. Slim start fighting Mitch until she bashes his head on a table and she calls Ginny, telling her she can't kill him, but only to be knocked out with a lamp, but Slim holds on to his voice and she revives herself. Slim then continued beating up Mitch, while flashing back to the previous fights in the film and she kicks him off the balcony, killing him. Slim reunites with Gracie and her ex-boyfriend, Joe.
